6:49 p.m. Powers Road — Found Property — Caller informed police a safe had been discovered on the Powers Road by the 90 degree turn. The safe was in the woods a little way and a photo had been taken of the item. Caller brought photo to station.
Thursday, May 15
9:10 a.m. Lower Lyndon — Police Information — Caller advised police of articles left in a driveway that were from “a night of passion”. Requested officer to patrol the area and should there be anyone parked there to ask then to move on.
Action — Officer will check area during the evening.
Friday, May 16
11:50 a.m. Bennett Drive — Theft — Caller questioned if a female had made a report of being scammed by a lottery in Canada.
Action — Officer advised female had been in but was told there was nothing police could do for her as the address was bogus and there was no way of tracing where the money had been sent.
2:18 p.m. Sweden Street — Harassment by Phone — Female caller advised of a male subject calling her for the past half hour, now leaving messages that he knows where she lives, wanting her to send him money.
Action — Officer determined issue to be a phone scam trying to intimidate her to wire money through Western Union. Subject had a foreign accent, no number available. Officer informed female should subject call her again, to contact police station.
4:44 p.m. Main Street —Motor Vehicle Complaint — Caller advised of a subject coming down the hill without brakes on his bike, hitting caller’s car and causing damage.
Action — Officer took necessary information.
7:14 p.m. Marshall Avenue — ATV Complaint — Male caller reported a male subject at the Hilltop School, racing around on an ATV, tearing the school lawn up.
Action —ATV operator was issued a summons for operating ATV on a public way.
7:16 p.m. Glenn Street — ATV Complaint — Female caller advised nearly being struck by an ATV on Glenn St.
Action — Officer located ATV on High Street, operator was charged with OUI and operating an ATV on a public way.
Saturday, May 17
241:42 p.m. Access Highway — Intoxicated Pedestrian — Caller advised he had driven by a seeminly intoxicated person walking on Rt. 89 by the Grimes Road intersection. Caller was concerned that by the way subject was walking, he night end up in the road and get hit by a vehicle.
Action — Officers checked the area but did not locate anyone.
Sunday, May 18
7:15 a.m. Grimes Road — Theft — Caller advised having a tractor for sale next to the road beside his driveway and discovered it missing that morning. Caller stated there must have been at least two subjects to load the tractor onto a trailer and haul if off.
Action — Officer discovered a phone left at the scene. Subject was located at his residence and was transported to the police station. Tractor was recovered near a local business and returned to owner.
Monday, May 19
11:10 a.m. Rose Street — Animal Complaint — Male caller reported a dog at his neighbor’s residence tearing up the garbage and being aggressive. Asked Animal Control Officer to check on the animal and Code Enforcement Officer to be notified in regard to the garbage.
Action — Officer contacted both agencies.
Tuesday, May 20
5:56 a.m. Plante Road — Motor Vehicle Complaint — Male caller reported someone stiking his mailbox during the night leaving parts behind.
Action — Officer noted vehicle to be dark green metallic and traveling at a high speed. Gray plastic Chrysler hubcab left at the scene.
