    Oakfield – Robert J. Ead, 71, died August 16, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1937, at Somerville, MA, the son of Joseph and Lillian (Alexander) Ead.
    Robert worked for the Mass Bay Transit Authority for 26 years. He was a member of the Massachusetts Policemen’s Auxiliary.
    He is survived by one son, Joseph K. Saltalmacchia of Easley, SC; two daughters, Mimi Straquadine of Easley, SC, Judy Ead of Quincey, MA; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Ead of Taft, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home with Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating. Gifts may be made in Robert’s memory to the Bethel Pentecostal Church or Cancer Research, c\o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, 04730.
