Golf program deemed a success

    FORT FAIRFIELD – The CANUSA Junior Golf Porgram wrapped up at the Aroostook Valley Country Club last weekend. After a couple days of practice, instructors held a bunker skills assessment for the last lesson.
    Instructors assessed the golfers on their technique hitting from the bunker, and rewarded each participant with a bag tag reading either phase 1, 2 or 3 (with 3 being the best).
    Assesed as phase 2 were Ezra MacIntosh, Logan Titus, Ben Dee, Joey Cyr, Jon Bernard, Noah Bernard, Vincent Campbell, Casey Hassencahl, Emma Hassencahl, Kelen Hassencahl, Lily Nadeau, Clayton Sockabasin, Rose-Mary Williams and Isiah Nicholas.
    Assesed as phase 3 were Mackenzie Brown, James Coyle, Ryan Moulton and Robbie Watson.
    “We’ve had a great bunch of kids,” said coordinator Michael Hersey of each participants dedication to learning during the program. “I imagine that many of the kids will return next year considering the fun that they had this summer.”
