Henry Gartley has been promoted to the position of associate supervisor at the United States Postal Service.
Gartley has been with the Postal Service for five years and recently completed a four-month supervisory training program, graduating with 11 other management trainees.
Gartley began his postal career as a rural carrier associate in Caribou in 2003. He has worked as a city carrier and recently has been acting in the position of Supervisor, Customer Services at the Caribou Post Office while learning about a number of different postal operations during the Postal Service training program.
“I’m looking forward to this new position,” said Gartley. “I want to learn as much as I can to prepare for my long-term goal of becoming a Postmaster.”
Gartley lives in Houlton with his wife, Marion. They have two children, Elizabeth, 24, and Matthew, 20.
As a graduate of the Associate Supervisor Program, Gartley will now supervise clerks and letter carriers.
