Antworth, Otis Irvine, 77, Mars Hill; in Mars Hill, March 1, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2009, at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Mars Hill. Interment will take place in the spring at King’s Grove Cemetery in Mars Hill. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
Mars Hill – Otis I. Antworth, 77, went to be with his Lord & Savior, March 1, 2009. He was born in Blaine, June 15, 1931, the son of Melburne and Mapley (Lunn) Antworth. 
He attended the Church of Jesus in Presque Isle. Otis owned and operated Mountain View Construction that later became Antworth and Son Construction for many years. He enjoyed camping, traveling and spending winters in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Lovely) Antworth of Mars Hill; three sons, Gerald F. Antworth of Mars Hill, Danney M. Antworth of Terriville, CT, Rickey I. Antworth of Presque Isle; one daughter, Roxanna J. Albert of Mars Hill; 10 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; 6 step-children and 14 step-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers: Merle Antworth of Westfield, Herbert Antworth of Mars Hill; three sisters: Mapley Lindsay of Unity, Donna Kenney of Presque Isle, Marita Shaw of Bridgewater; a half- brother, Wilfred Ouellette of Presque Isle and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives: Phyllis and Laura Antworth; a brother, Garfield; and sisters, Annie, Gladys and Laurice.
Friends called 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Mars Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Revs. Victor Hartley and Earl Durost officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at King’s Grove Cemetery in Mars Hill. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
