Time to tighten the belt

To the editor:
I am writing this letter as a senior citizen, wondering if things have changed all that drastically in society, in regard to certain clothing styles. Apparently, it is becoming increasingly common for people, even business employees, to wear pants that are a little big.  When they bend over to pick something up off the floor, or while stocking shelves, these big pairs of pants often reveal their buttocks. I don’t think these employees are trying to be indecent. I’m sure that while they are working, their minds are on their job instead of on their pants. Still, the problem is common and others are also aware of it.
I am also sure that people in my age group are generally not interested in seeing this part of any employee’s body. I think it would be a good idea for employees to wear either pants that aren’t quite so loose, or tighter belts. Once again, I don’t think any of us are accusing these employees of intentional indecency. We’re just asking them to be a little more aware, and a little more careful. Most of them are basically very nice and their customer service skills are good. Just encourage them to tighten their belts a little more, and we’ll be in business.
