From the Bunkers

Fifty-two players showed up last Saturday to play in the fifth annual Houlton High School Alumni Scramble.  The 13 teams of four battled the weather and a tough golf course, and the Class of ‘89 bested everyone and every obstacle to claim the championship. Team Daren Hagan, Dick Fournier, Jason Gilpatrick and Greg Haggerty made birdie on the playoff hole number one to edge out second-place finishers Isaac Brown, Gaige Flewelling, Mike Ring and Logan Shaffer. Tom Brown, Tim Taylor, and brothers Zach and Ben Goodwin finished third just ahead of fourth-place finishers Wayne and Matt Quint, Jerry Tweedie and Ben Flewelling.
Daniel Peabody won the closest to the pin prize at 10 feet, four inches. Thanks to all participants for their support.
After last week’s rainout, Twilight action picks up again this week, with some key matchups.
All three divisions are bunched with teams tied or close to the top. The Adam/York team, the Putnam/Fasulo, Porter Gervais/Flewelling, and Williams/Cleary teams all are still undefeated.
