The Houlton Junior League team lost to Hermon 10-1 at Bangor’s Mansfield Stadium.
Logan Tremblay pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks and retired Houlton’s final 12 batters in order.
Nick Guiod singled twice for Houlton.
In other District 3, Junior League action, Orrington edged Katahdin Valley, 5-4.
Matt Dunning scored the winning run for Orrington on Evan Pelkey’s one-out single in the bottom of the eighth.
Billy Livezey doubled, singled and drove in a run for Katahdin Valley.
In District 3, 9-10-year-old Little League action, the Houlton All-stars defeated Hampden, 10-6 last Wednesday in their first game.
Abe Lorom, Billy Phillips, Logan Ellis, Nate Mooers and Matt Tuttle all had two hits for Houlton.
Houlton’s Cameron Graham and Nick Cowperthwaite combined to pitch a five-hitter, with seven strikeouts.
The 9-10 year old team will play today at 5:30 p.m. in Holbrook against Lincoln.

In the District 3, 11-12-year-old Little League tournament, the Houlton All-stars lost their first game of the double elimination tourney, 2-0 to Hermon, while Katahdin Valley lost to Millinocket, 8-1.
