Members of the Woodland Extension met recently for their regular meeting. Following the reading of the “Homemaker’s Creed,” Co-president Dodie Olmstead conducted the business meeting and the secretary and treasurer’s reports were given. A cash fund was also collected. Co-president Olmstead and member Elizabeth Cochran discussed with other members a previous meeting they had attended with a great deal of information was related to the group regarding entries into the Northern Maine Fair; laws, new rules and this year’s fair theme, “Being Green is —.”
The Woodland Extension group will have an entry at the up-coming fair. Members were advised that extension members from New Sweden and Caswell will be responsible for furnishing judges during the Northern Maine Fair Extension exhibitions.
Following the business portion of the meeting the “Eye opener” brought in by member Mavis Carson was discussed.
The next meeting for the Woodland Extension will be held on Tuesday, July 21.
