The Limestone Country Club and Country Club Rentals is owned and operated by Peter and Debbie Weatherhead and Craig Phair of the Limestone Country Club Developers LLC, and Avalanche Associates of Colorado.
The Limestone Country Club and Country Club Rentals (LCC/CCR) was the first private entity to sign a lease with the Loring Development Authority, opening the golf course in 1995. LCC/CCR leased the property until 2001 until they purchased it in 2001 along with the current housing on the centre, making them the first private entity to purchase property at the centre.
The golf course is speculated to be one of the longest nine-hole public golf courses in The County. The fairways are lined with beautiful evergreens, tamaracks and hardwoods. Strategically placed sand bunkers and water hazards surround the elevated greens, creating challenging shots for golfers of every skill level. Many agree that the Clubhouse has a friendly, comfortable atmosphere with genuine hospitality that makes customers and members feel right at home. The Clubhouse and full service bar are also available for private and special functions.
The Limestone Country Club Town-homes offer spacious two- , three- and four-bedroom apartments for long-term rent. They are conveniently located for those that work at the commerce centre as well as those who work in surrounding communities.
LCC/LCCR employ approximately 10 to 12 employees; they have three to four full-time employees year round and seven to eight employees who work primarily from May to the end of October. Throughout the years, LCC/LCCR has employed many students from the Limestone High School as well as retired individuals who like to keep busy.
LCC/LCCR owners decided to purchase property at the Loring Commerce Centre because they were excited about the opportunity to participate in the redevelopment of the community in which Craig and Pete grew up in. They believe that the Loring Commerce Centre is a vital asset to the surrounding communities and thought that they might be able to get in some extra golf as a bonus.
The Limestone Country Club currently has single family lots for sale and owners hope to develop more home sites around the golf course in the future.
