Portland Glass going strong

PRESQUE ISLE – With companies around it changing constantly, one local business has stood the test of time.
For over 60 years, Portland Glass has been offering a variety of services for vehicles, homes and businesses with offices in Presque Isle since 1985.
The business features National Glass Association certified technicians, who are available 24 hours a day for emergency service.

They also believe that quality and price are the most important factors for keeping their customers satisfied.
“Customer service is very important to us because we know we have local competition,” said Tim McLean, store manager of the Presque Isle branch. “Our goal is to broaden our customer base and keep our customers coming back to us time and again.”
The business offers direct billing to insurance companies and mobile service when and where it is necessary.
Products provided include auto glass, store fronts and repairs including locks and hinges, vinyl windows, shower doors, screen repair, windshield repair, storm windows and repairs, commercial and residential windows, residential garage doors, glass repairs, mirrors, solar shades, storm doors and table tops.
A new service Portland Glass offers is the G12 guarantee. This is a new option available only to Portland Glass customers when they have their windshields replaced. The G12 guarantee gives the customer a new windshield at no charge if the windshield is broke from a road hazard for 12 months after the windshield was installed. See Portland Glass stores for further details.
“We offer a lifetime warranty on auto glass leaks and all parts on our vinyl windows,” said McLean. “We sell only quality products.”
Portland Glass is located at 724 Main Street in Presque Isle.
The Presque Isle location can be reached at 764-0668.
Portland Glass is also on the Web at www.portlandglass.com.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“Many glass shops come and go,” McLean said, “but Portland Glass has stood the test of time.”
