Rising above the competition
PRESQUE ISLE – With 26 years of experience under their tool belts, employees at PNM Construction, Inc. can handle any project – big or small.
“We are an experienced builder that has worked on many different construction projects since we were incorporated in July of 1992,” said owner Steven McHatten, noting that PNM Construction is a fully insured and bonded company.
“Some of our specialties include concrete, masonry and pre-engineered buildings. If you are in the market for a steel pre-engineered building, we can meet all of your design-build needs without the added costs of having it designed by an engineer or architect,” he said. “Once we have a design you like, we produce the drawings and, for your convenience, our building manufacturer’s engineer approves and stamps your plans.”
PNM Construction, Inc. also does sitework, both rough and finish carpentry, as well as thermal moisture, doors and windows, steel fabrication, drywall, painting, and mechanical and electrical work.
Located at 104 Edgemont Drive in Presque Isle, PNM Construction, Inc. employs 14 full-time workers and six part-time employees depending on the project.
“We strive to ensure 100 percent customer satisfaction, which makes us rise above our competition,” said McHatten. “We want all of our customers as repeat clientele so as to form a business relationship of honesty, reliability, on time and on budget … good common sense practices.”
PNM Construction, Inc. is now incorporating “green technology” in all of its construction projects.
“It’s important to build green whether it be a commercial, industrial, residential or agricultural project,” said McHatten. “We try to implement recycled technology into our work … things like wind, solar and geothermal technology.”
Some of the new products the construction company uses include ASTEC ceramic roof coatings and UV reflectivity.
“The ceramic roof coating helps cool a roof in the summer and provide heat in the winter and features a 10-year renewable warranty,” said McHatten. “We’re doing what we can to combat global warming and reduce our carbon footprint one project at a time.”
