Marie H. Bernaiche

    Bernaiche, Marie H., 83, December 11, 2010.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
    HOULTON – Marie H. Bernaiche, 83, died December 11, 2010 at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was born April 5, 1927 at Woodstock, NB, Canada, the daughter of John P. and Cora J. (Hannan) McMullin.
    Marie was a long time employee of Madigan Estates and retired after 23 years of service. She served as treasurer for the Alliance for the Mentally Ill for 20 years helping many area youth. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and her greatest joy in life was spending time with family.
    She is survived by her husband Phillip Bernaiche of Houlton; four sons, Gary of New Orleans, Darrell of Portland, James of New Jersey and David of Houlton; two daughters, Cheryl Huff of Biddeford and Rebecca Rogers of Chicago; one brother, Bill McMullin, two sisters, Anna Clay and Jean McMullin; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m. Tues. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church 10 a.m. Wed. with Father David Raymond celebrant.
