Rotary Club

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center.

Members are invited to attend a special dedication of the new Adelman Seasonal Patio/Sunroom at the Aroostook Health Center on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m.

The special speaker was Jay Peavey. Jay and his wife Melissa are the new owners of Al’s Diner. They have replaced the kitchen floor and walls and also refinished the entire seating area. They also have new blinds and a new canopy over the windows and are hoping to get a neon sign up — similar to the one that was used for years.

They have added some items to the menu, such as wraps, more seafood options, and a new favorite: Big Rock BBQ Chicken. They have a separate children’s menu.

Special thanks go to Steve Hitchcock, who prepared an entertaining slide presentation showing the various ideas that he thought that Jay and Melissa considered regarding their renovations.
