Aroostook Republican staff was at Hilltop Elementary School in Caribou on April 1 asking kindergarten and first-grade students what they thought a timing belt was and what makes the Smart Car smart. The youngsters answered the questions the best they could, and came up with some very reasonable and practical answers.
