PIACC prepares for Strawberry Shortcake Sale

PRESQUE ISLE — Summer will soon be here and with it comes the annual Strawberry Shortcake Sale put on by the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce.
“Summer is in the air and there’s no better way to start it then with our annual Strawberry Shortcake Sale. The Chamber is pleased to offer the delightful, fresh treat to businesses and their employees again this year,” said Theresa Fowler, executive director, PIACC.
The event will be held on Thursday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with Chamber officials and volunteers offering the mouthwatering dessert for only $3.25 each. Proceeds go toward the daily operation of the Chamber.
“If you would like to place an order, please contact the Chamber by Friday, June 10,” said Fowler.
Remember, deliveries will be made only to the businesses who order 10 or more strawberry shortcakes. The rain date for the walk-ups only will be held Friday, June 24.
“The business orders will be delivered, rain or shine, on Thursday, June 23. They will be delivered to the following towns: Presque Isle, Easton, Mars Hill, Caribou, Mapleton and Fort Fairfield,” said Fowler, noting the familiar shortcake booth will once again be located in the parking lot of KeyBank on North Street.
“Don’t miss out giving your employees this tasty treat for the hard work they have done. Help make this our biggest and best Strawberry Shortcake Sale ever,” urged Fowler.
