On Monday, July 18, Trooper Shawn Whalen of the Maine State Police responded to a report of a burglary at the Stockholm American Legion Post 136, where it was discovered that someone had entered the building and once inside had caused significant damage to the interior of the structure.
According to the state police the investigation is still in it beginning stages with the discovery of several items missing along with the damage.
The Maine State Police Evidence Recovery Team was able to recover several pieces of evidence from the scene and those items are being processed.
Trooper Whalen is the primary investigator on this case.
