GHCA Eagle runners on the move

    The Greater Houlton Christian Academy cross-country team competed in Fort Kent last Wednesday against Washburn, Fort Kent and Limestone/MSSM.
    The Washburn boys won the meet with 31 points, while GHCA had 42 and Fort Kent, 51. Limestone/MSSM and Hodgdon had no scores.
    In the boys meet, Washburn’s Nick Bragg finished first with a time of 19:53, with GHCA’s Micah Wiley close behind at 20:39. Hodgdon’s Nick Lunn placed third with a time of 21:22, followed by Sam Ouellette,  Fort Kent, 21:31; Michael Ericson, Washburn, 21:58; Russell Socoby, GHCA, 24:08; Eric Deschaine,  Fort Kent, 24:29; Ethan Pendexter, Washburn, 25:17; Cameron Preston, Washburn, 25:22; Ethan Holmes, GHCA, 26:27; Josh Winslow, GHCA, 26:31; Kyle McLaughlin, Washburn, 27:32; Jared Michaud, Fort Kent, 27:53; Max Holtzman, Limestone/MSSM, 30:00; Matt Rioux, Fort Kent, 30:38; Chandler Dobson, Washburn, 30:50; Ruban Roman, Washburn, 30:58; Alex Angotti, GHCA, 31:49 and Ben Fishman, Fort Kent, 40:52.

    The Washburn girls scored 17 points, while GHCA had 46 on the girls side, as Limestone/MSSM and Fort Kent had no scores.

sp-maliseet-dc9-pt-36TO THE FINISH — GHCA teammates Russell Socoby and Destiny Neureuther battle to the finish of the Maliseet 4-mile race. Both runners did well in their last meet in Fort Kent, as Socoby had a time of 24:08 and Neureuther came in fifth with a time of 27:07.
