CARIBOU — Nancy J. Tarbox, 66, died October 3, 2011. She was born at Ashland June 4, 1945, the daughter of the late Leonard and Marjorie (Skidgel) Long. She was a loving and devoted mother to her six children.
She is survived by her four sons and two daughters-in-law, Leon and Missy Tarbox, and Lucas and Rena Tarbox all of Washburn, Lyn Tarbox of Caribou and Lewis Tarbox and his fiancé, Susan Smith of Westford, Mass.; two daughters, Robin Tarbox and Rose Tarbox both of Caribou; six brothers, Lewis Long, George Long and Paul Williams all of Caribou, Henry Long, Leo Long and Teddy Long all of Washburn; one sister, Sadie Grisle of Baytown, Tex.; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Tarbox in 2004.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Thursday October 6, 2011 from the chapel of the funeral home. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Perham.
