The Houlton High School Class of 1962 met on July 7 for their 50th class reunion.
A total of 115 members graduated in the class, and nearly a third returned to celebrate this occasion.
The day started with a lovely coffee at the home of Francis and Nancy Cyr Fitzpatrick. From there, a tour was given of the Littleton Agricultural Museum.

In the afternoon, David McGillicuddy, class member, gave a tour of Houlton High School allowing the former grads a chance to reminisce. Several areas at the high school are totally new, while other areas have been renovated.
The Horn of Plenty was the spot for the group’s evening dinner. Barbara Reed Kelley was the Master (Mistress) of Ceremonies. Classmates continued socializing until it was time for the HHS jacket presentation.
The HHS jacket is given yearly to a class member who has consistently given their time and effort through the years to promote class gatherings and Houlton High School in general. Not one soul would have to wonder who that member of our class would be.
David McGillicuddy was the recipient, and his cousin, Gary Bossie, arrived to do a wonderful presentation. A class picture was taken, and then it was time for a blessing before dinner. The blessing was done beautifully by our classmate the Rev. Nancee Campbell. Thank you to all who made the effort to come, those who live locally as well as those who traveled many miles.
