HOULTON — The Gentle Memorial Building was the place to be Friday and Saturday for the annual Rec Center Holiday Craft Sale.
More than 1,500 people passed through the doors over the two-day craft fair, which has been a tradition at the Recreation Center for a number of years.
According to Recreation Center officials, more than 50 vendors had tables at the event, which is about the same as previous years. The gymnasium and basement room were lined with tables overflowing with items. Among the many items featured included homespun bags and purses; jewelry, knit mittens, wool socks, holiday décor, woodworking items, blown glass, along with jams, jellies and other homemade goodies; decorated wreaths and scrapbooking pages.
