CARIBOU — Santa Claus came to town on the evening of Dec. 7 via Caribou ladder truck No. 3, making a stop at the Caribou Wellness Center to visit the Recreation Department’s gingerbread house decorating event and Santa’s Workshop, sponsored by the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce.
After helping to light the Wellness Center tree, Santa went inside and visited with area children to listen to their holiday wish lists.
The children decorated gingerbread houses and cookies, visited with Thomas the Reindeer and the Gingerbread Man.
Santa’s visitors were also given gift bags that included homemade mittens and entered drawings for lots of fun prizes.
