50th anniversary of Tom and Susan Sheehan

On Aug. 1, a family gathering was held in Mount Chase to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Tom and Susan Sheehan. They married on Aug. 1, 1963 in Mineola, N.Y. and lived on Long Island before moving to Mount Chase in 1973, where they still reside. Tom taught school for 37 years in New York, Benedicta and at Southern Aroostook High School. Sue was the town clerk for Mount Chase. They raised five boys: Bill Sheehan of Woodland, Maine, Tim Sheehan of Pembroke, Maine, Thomas Sheehan of Trenton,Maine, Terrence Sheehan of Mariaville, Maine and Mo Sheehan of Aurora, Maine. They have 10 grandchildren.
