    The Presque Isle Community Center Campaign Committee recently announced the receipt of its latest donation in the amount of $15,000 from United Insurance.

    DONATION — United Insurance recently made a $15,000 donation to the Presque Isle Community Center Project.     Senior vice president and agency manager, Calvin Deschene, commercial lines supervisor Wanda Guiggey and commercial lines account manager Kristen Clark presented campaign representatives with a ceremonial check Tuesday, Feb. 4.
    With 17 locations throughout Maine, United Insurance has a longstanding tradition of protecting the people of Maine and the businesses they depend on. The United Insurance – Hayden Perry Agency was established in Presque Isle in 1889 and its strong commitment to community is evidenced by this substantial charitable investment in protecting the future of recreation in the Presque Isle area.
    Campaign committee members Chris Beaulieu, Patricia Sutherland and Mike Chasse were present at the official presentation. Beaulieu, who is the Presque Isle recreation director stated, “We are very excited about this generous donation from United Insurance. It is encouraging to see this strong show of support for the Community Center Project from such a prominent local business. United Insurance clearly understands the importance of this project and its many positive impacts on Presque Isle. We sincerely appreciate this much-needed investment in our community.
    “We are proud to support the project. Our organization’s pledge of performance is focused on a commitment to provide quality services which is very clearly aligned with the future community center’s goals,” Deschene said. “We believe that by investing in our Presque Isle community we are investing in an improved quality of life for our friends, neighbors and customers. We are pleased to donate to this important community project and look forward to the new center.”
    Community Center Campaign Committee members are grateful that United Insurance recognized the need and acted on it.
