The University of Maine at Presque Isle baseball team’s hitting slump continued on day two of the Owls’ four-game set against Fisher College, as the Owls managed just two hits in each game and lost by scores of 7-0 and 21-0 Sunday in Boston.

Andrew Bartlett held the Falcons to four earned runs in his six innings of work, but the Owls could not put together a solid offensive inning as four Falcon hurlers held the Owls to two hits.
Saul Nunez and Soloman Fast each hit safely for the Owls.
In game two, Nunez allowed six first-inning runs as Fisher cruised to the victory. Brady Rowe and Adam Begos each had hits for the Owls, who fell to 4-15 on the season.
The previous day, UMPI was shut out by 13-0 and 14-0 scores.
Rowe, Begos and Jesus Garcia collected hits in the game one loss, while Rowe had all three hits in the second matchup.
On Friday, the Owls recorded 11 hits, but could not contain the bats of the home-standing Rivier University Raiders by dropping the contest, 11-6.
Rivier took the lead in the first inning and never looked back. The hosts had 17 hits in the game.
Rowe went 4-for-5 at the plate with a RBI. Tommy Collins added his own three hits and scored two runs. Nunez came off the bench by going 2 for 3.
Matt Curry suffered the pitching loss as he went 6-2/3 innings and allowed eight runs (four earned) on 12 hits. He struck out six in the outing.
