Real estate — W.M. McLellan has sold his residence on Collins Street to H.H. Whitney. Mr. Whitney recently sold his furniture store to Curier and Mockler.

Merry Workers 4H presents $284 to school — Members of the Merry Workers 4-H Club last night officially presented their check
Program underway For Winter Carnival — The Caribou Winter Carnival, one of Caribou’s largest festivities, has been revived. The Caribou Chamber of Commerce voted to have the Carnival and Sportsmen Show this year.
50 Years Ago – Sept. 16, 1970
United Fund drive past $4,000 mark — Dale Dee, president of the Caribou United Fund, reported that over $4,000 has been raised thus far during the 1970 campaign.
25 Years Ago – Sept. 13, 1995
Clinic donation — The Daigle Oil Company, represented by Leo and Maxine Robichaud, presented a check in the amount of $2,500 to Bearce Carter, president of the Jefferson Cary Foundation, for the construction of the Cary Speciality Clinics and Cancer Services at Cary Medical Center.
Women’s Health Conference Saturday will draw hundreds — Women from all over Aroostook County will gather in Caribou on Sept. 16 for “Exploring Our Dreams,” the annual Women’s Health Conference. The event is coordinated by Caribou Medical Center, The Aroostook Medical Center and Health 1st.
