PRESQUE, ISLE, Maine — SAGE (Seniors Achieving Greater Education) is kicking off its schedule of classes and events for fall 2026. On Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9:30 a.m., SAGE’s annual kickoff will be held at University of Maine Presque Isle in the Campus Center’s Conference Room on the second floor.
Curious adults age 50 and over are encouraged to attend to learn more about SAGE-UMPI and its upcoming activities and events. Also attendees will have the opportunity to suggest future classes and activities that they would like to see SAGE provide.
The 2026-27 SAGE year promises to be filled with learning, laughter and fun as people are brought together to share new ideas, information and experiences. The SAGE atmosphere is relaxed and less formal than “school”, and is one that encourages learning about new things and about the world and themselves.
Some new classes and events this year will include “A Night at the Museum”, Healthier Cooking with an Instant Pot” and “Applied AI how AI Can Assist You”.
Everyone age 50 and greater is welcome to come and bring a friend to the SAGE Kickoff at the UMPI Campus Center, 181 Main St. Lunch will be provided at no charge for those who attend. Preregistration is required.
