Maine Maritime Academy Dean’s List
Curtis Libby of Cary Plantation was recently named to the Dean’s List at Maine Maritime Academy for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the 2008-2009 academic year. Students named to the Dean’s List earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
Libby, a member of the class of 2011, is majoring in Marine Systems Engineering Design. He is a graduate of Houlton High School.
Monticello Resident Earns Second Academic Honors from Clark University
Ms. Alisha R. Targonski of Monticello has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean’s List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2008 semester.
Ms. Targonski, a graduate of Houlton High School is a member of Clark University’s Class of 2009.
To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3 (all A+s). Clark University is located in Worcester, Mass.
University of Maine at Farmington Dean’s List
University of Maine at Farmington is proud to announce its Dean’s List for the fall 2008 semester. UMF maintains a Dean’s List each semester for those students completing a minimum of 12 credits in courses producing quality points. A student whose grade point average for the semester equals or exceeds 3.8 will be listed with high academic achievement. A student whose grade point average for the semester is less than 3.8 but equal to or greater than 3.5 will be listed with academic achievement. Any incompletes must be satisfactorily completed before the student is honored with Dean’s List status. Academic achievement awarded at commencement is based on all course work taken at UMF.

Brittaney Lee McGary of Houlton has been named to the Dean’s List at Logan College of Chiropractic for the winter trimester.
To qualify, a student must achieve at least a 3.5 GPA for the trimester.
