Momentum Aroostook hosts networking lunch in Houlton

    HOULTON – Momentum Aroostook will host a networking lunch in Houlton this month to offer a close-to-home event for its southern Aroostook County membership and to provide an opportunity for others in the area to learn more about the organization.
    The networking lunch will be held from noon-1 p.m. on Friday, June 26 at Taste of China restaurant on 127 Military St. in Houlton. As with other networking lunches that Momentum Aroostook has held, individuals are responsible for the cost of their lunch. Everyone, especially those between the ages of 20 and 40, is invited to attend and encouraged to RSVP through Momentum Aroostook’s Facebook page or e-mail momentumaroostook@gmail.com.
    “Based on the success of our networking lunches in central Aroostook County, we wanted to extend this opportunity to our southern Aroostook members, and we hope to offer a similar event at a future date for our northern Aroostook members,” Momentum Aroostook Chairman Tim Poitras said.
    “These lunches are an excellent, informal way to meet other Momentum members and discuss business opportunities or other issues of interest. We’d also welcome any ideas attendees may have about projects and activities they would like to see Momentum Aroostook offer. ”
 The county-wide networking group is working to shape the economic, social and recreational future of the area.
    Momentum Aroostook is part of a statewide initiative called REALIZE!Maine.
