On Sunday, Dec. 9 at approximately 11 p.m. Officers Kevin St. Peter and Robert Worley of the Caribou Police Department discovered a stash of stolen Christmas ornaments on the grounds at Caribou High School. Items included six small wreaths, a five-foot wreath, two metal ornaments, two luminaries, a wooden reindeer, a wreath ball and a Christmas tree.    Over the course of the past week calls have continued to come into the station regarding stolen ornaments, which have been returned to their original owners.
According to Officer Doug Bell of the Caribou Police Department, most of the items have already been reunited with their owners. All except for two wreaths.
“So if there’s anyone missing a wreath, come on in and let us know,” said Bell.
The total value of stolen items was over $400. Police are currently investigating, and reviewing video tape, which they have recovered, and are looking into some suspects.
