Caribou – Kenneth J. Pelletier, 52, died February 27, 2009 at Caribou following a brief illness. He was born in Caribou June 19, 1956 the son of Raymond and Blanche (Gagnon) Pelletier. He was a 1976 graduate of Caribou High School; and following high school, he served with the US Navy aboard the USS Raleigh. Following his Navel service, Kenneth attended Northern Maine Technical College where he graduated with his electrical degree in 1997. He was then employed as an electrician at Bath Iron Works for over 11 years. Mr. Pelletier also served with the 152nd Field Artillery, Maine Army National Guard for over 20 years, retiring as a Sergeant. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Blanche, of Caribou are five brothers and a sister in law; Joe “Bennett” Pelletier, Bryan Pelletier, Michael Pelletier, Gregory Pelletier and his wife Jeanne and Mark Pelletier all of Caribou; many cousins, aunts and uncles as well as a special niece Jasmine Kirchner. Kenneth was predeceased by his father in 2000.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2008, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Very Rev. Jean Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
