Virus closes most of Mapleton

Here are some updates of closures and cancellations in Mapleton due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mapleton Post Office is operating.

The Mapleton Lions Club has indefinitely postponed the club’s annual charity auction.

The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile and ATV Club have stopped operation and canceled remaining activities for the 2020 winter season.

The Mapleton, Chapman and Castle Hill Seniors will not be having their regular luncheons, and the Haystak Historical Society will not meet until the emergency order is lifted.

All the churches are observing the social isolation order imposed by the governor.  They will, however, be going on a weekly review basis starting this week.

Everyone asks local residents to heed the warnings and take care of each other.

Town Office

The Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman municipal office is closed to the public but has installed a drop box outside the building to help service the residents in need of new registrations.

Office staff will be available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., by phone, email and mail. Payments are still acceptable by credit card over the phone.

For tax assessing, code enforcement or other questions or concerns, call the office at 207-764-3754.
