EAST WATERBORO – Bryan K. Oldenburg, 45, a resident of Sokokis Trail, went home to be with his Savior on Monday, August 11, 2008, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born in Athens, Greece on November 24, 1962, a son of Robert and Ada (Crockett) Oldenburg.
He graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco and attended York County Community College in Wells. Bryan was employed by Pratt Whitney of North Berwick as a supervisor for more than 24 years. He loved to ride his motorcycle, and also loved fishing, hunting, skiing, music, camping, and drawing artwork. He and his wife Brenda enjoyed hiking Mount Katahdin at Baxter State Park in Millinocket and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his parents of Presque Isle; his wife of 25 years, Brenda (Morin) Oldenburg of East Waterboro; two daughters, Autumn and Sarah Oldenburg both of East Waterboro; two brothers, Timothy and Steven Oldenburg both of Presque Isle; two sisters, Marci Oldenburg of FL, and Karen Oldenburg of Gardiner; and several nieces and nephews.
There were no visiting hours. A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk.
