Bossie earns master’s degree from Dartmouth
Christopher Bossie received his master’s degree of arts in liberal studies from Darmouth College on June 8, 2008. His focus was oral history, a concentration within the creative writing track of the MALS program, and his thesis was an oral history of Nickerson Lake. A Bowdoin College graduate, Bossie is an English teacher and lacrosse coach at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, New Hampshire.
Patten church to host ‘chowda suppah’
The Happy Widows are cooking up a “chowda and stew suppah” from 4-6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the Patten United Methodist Church. Menu consists of corn chowder, chicken stew, beef stew, homemade rolls and cakes. Donation is $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. Proceeds will go to the church’s general fund.
