SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Melissa Perley, of Fort Fairfield has been awarded the Scholarship for Rural Mathematics and Science Educators from Western Governors University.
Private, non-profit WGU offers more than 15 kinds of scholarships, supported by a number of major corporations and foundations, as well as special government grants and appropriations. During the 2009 fiscal year, WGU awarded 542 scholarships, valued at $2,200,000.
