Leaders program open

The Institute for Civic Leadership (ICL) Emerging Leaders program is now accepting applications and nominations for its fall 2013 session.
Emerging Leaders is a three-month training program that prepares and launches young leaders ages 22-39 to successful nonprofit board and committee leadership roles in Maine.

The course provides leadership development, mentoring, matching, transitioning and follow-up to participants who are eager to become more engaged in their communities by serving on Maine nonprofit boards or significant committees.
Emerging Leaders brings together a unique collaboration of community members who believe deeply that leadership matters to improving Maine communities: program participants and their professional associations; nonprofits that seek new and highly-trained governance leaders; community leaders and business professionals who mentor their talent and expertise to the new leaders; and generous sponsors, to name but a few.
For more information on ICL and to apply — or nominate someone — visit http://civicleadership.org/programs-services/leadership-development/youn or call ICL at 207-773-3254. Application forms are accepted through March 4 to shunt@civicleadership.org.
