VIOLET GLIDDEN, HOULTON – Violet Glidden, 94, Houlton, died November 11, 2018, in Houlton. She was born March 30, 1924 in Richmond Corner, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Elwood and Amanda (Bates) Anderson.
She worked at Woolworths for 24 years at Circle T. She was a member of the Houlton Congregational Church and the Houlton Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her husband, Cedric Glidden of Houlton; one daughter, Barbara (Richard) Stewart of Hermon; and many grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Phillip Wallace; one sister, Marguerite; and four brothers, Ralph, Gerald, Walter, and Myles; a stepson, Darrell Glidden; and her stepdaughter, Joanne Higgs.
A graveside funeral services will be announced in the spring by Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, ME.
