J-T Mullins of Pine Tree Legal Assistance was sworn in to the Maine Bar by the Hon. Andrew Mead, associate justice, Maine Supreme Court in Bangor on Oct. 15.
Mullins is a 2025 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. Originally from East Lyme, Connecticut, he began working with Pine Tree Legal Assistance in September through a two-year Charles and Elinor Miller Rural Justice Fellowship. The fellowship, which launched in 2024, is designed to increase access to high-quality legal services in remote communities in Maine.
Mullins joins attorneys Matt Dyer and Kelly Grugan and paralegal Tim Stohlberg at Pine Tree’s Presque Isle office, located at 373 Main St.
Pine Tree Legal Assistance is a non-profit law firm whose mission is to ensure that state and federal laws affecting poor people are upheld, while also addressing the systemic barriers to justice faced by Mainers with low incomes.
