    PRESQUE ISLE – The following cases were heard in the District Court in Presque Isle for the month of October, 2008:
    Benjamin F. Purdy, 63, Westfield, Mass.: hunting moose not in presence of permittee, $100 fine.
    Adrienne M. Reed, 24, Fort Fairfield: domestic violence assault, dismissed; and disorderly conduct, offensive words and gestures, $300 fine.     Matthew R. Sands, 26, Caribou: theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, six months in jail.
    Mark L. Savoy, 41, Mapleton: burning prohibited material, $200 fine.
    James W. Shaw, 19, Mars Hill: reckless operation of ATV, $300 fine and $2,800 restitution.
    Amanda Sherman, 30, Houlton: failure to provide correct name, address and DOB, five days in jail; and violating condition of release, five days in jail.
    Marcus E. Shorey, 25, Presque Isle: violating protective order, $500 fine and 30 days in jail.
    Lucien F. Simard, 20, Presque Isle: ATV noise and fire control violation, $100 fine.
    Jeremiah B. Smith, 30, Presque Isle: violating condition of release, $750 fine and 15 days in jail.
    Pippin Smith, 32, Blaine: OUI-one prior, $700 fine, seven days in jail, 18-month license suspension and registration suspension.
    Darlene E. Tompkins, 61, Fort Fairfield: assault, dismissed.
    Jose Tungol, 55, Presque Isle: loaded firearm or crossbow in motor vehicle, $100 fine.
    Matthew J. Turcotte, 26, Fort Fairfield: carrying passenger on ATV without headgear, $100 fine.
    Andrew M. Tweedie, 19, Blaine: ATV noise and fire control violation, $100 fine.
    Shannon Walker, 25, Presque Isle: OUI, $500 fine, 48 hours in jail and 90-day license suspension.
    Kathaleen M. Watson, 40, Presque Isle: theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, 40 hours community service.
    Bryan M. Webster, 58, Kentland, Ind.: rule violation–duty status not current, $250 fine.
    Edward A. Wetherell, 36, New Sweden: OUI-one prior, $700 fine, seven days in jail, three-year license suspension and registration suspended; violating condition of release, seven days in jail; operating while license suspended or revoked, $600 fine, seven days in jail, three-year license suspension and registration suspended; and failure to give correct name, address or DOB, dismissed.
