PERHAM – Donna M. Chapman Doody, 74, went home to be with her Lord Thursday April 17, 2008, surrounded by her loving husband Elwood and family. She was born January 24, 1934 in Caribou, the daughter of Maurice and Flora (Myshrall) Chapman Sr.
She was a member of the Washburn Pentecostal church and taught Sunday school, ushered, was a member of the ladies prayer group, and the Womens Home Missions Council.
She is survived by her husband, Elwood Doody; a son, Mark T. Doody and his wife Becky; a daughter, Darlene Paradis and her husband Robin all of Perham; two grandchildren, Jason Paradis and Ashley Doody; two brothers, Jeffrey Chapman and his wife Cecilia of New Sweden and Michael Chapman and his wife Vicki of Pittsfield; two sisters, Jackie Harvey and her husband August of Fort Fairfield and Carolyn Hanlon and her husband Terry of Windham; and nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two special friends, Sally Gould and Sandra Sherman. Donna was many things to many people and so special to all. In addition to her parents Maurice and Flora, she was predeceased by her step-father, William Chapman; two brothers, Frederick Chapman and Maurice Chapman Jr.; and a sister, Manilva Fenlason.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Friends called from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Following the service there was a reception held in the church fellowship hall. A burial will take place at a later date at Crouseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations in Donna’s memory to the Washburn Pentecostal Church Memorial Fund, P.O.
