Samantha Slocum and James Martin of Bowdoin, Maine, were married on August 16, 2008, which was performed by Jason Pelletier.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Roy and Jenene Slocum, of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of Harspwell. She graduated from Mt. Ararat High School in 1997 before graduating in 2005 from the University of Southern Maine at Portland. She is currently the Community Outreach & Marketing Director for Holland Chiropractic Wellness Center.
The groom is the son of Dwight and Teresa Hafford of Presque Isle. After graduating Ashland High School in 2003, James then graduated from the University of Southern Maine at Portland in 2007, and is enrolled in masters of social work program at University of New England in Portland. He currently works at Department of Health & Human Services Office of Child & Family Services.
