PRESQUE ISLE – NorState Federal Credit Union officially announced on Monday, Nov. 24, that a full-service office will be constructed in Presque Isle to accommodate members and growth in the central Aroostook area.     David Rossignol, CCE/CEO, stated that the continued growth and success of NorState in the central Aroostook area, with membership and business services, has prompted the credit union to take a hard look at the benefits of operating a full-service office in Presque Isle.
“We understand the benefits of member service and how it has made us a nationally top-ranked financial institution. We offer a full range of products and services to meet the needs of our growing membership and even with the evolution of technology, we recognize that personalized service is our hallmark. Continued growth will help to ensure the success of our institution, enhance members’ financial future and guarantee these services for generations to come,” said Rossignol.
“NorState’s mission is to work together to improve members’ financial lives and our vision is to be the most valued, respected and progressive provider of financial services to all residents in Aroostook and northern Penobscot counties,” Rossignol added.
This ideology has been the financial institution’s foundation and has served it well. It has ensured continued growth and benefits for members.
“We look ahead to identify the needs of our members and, based on positive results, continually expand to achieve greater stability,” assured Raymond Marquis, Board of Directors’ chairperson.
NorState’s sixth branch office will be located at 738 Main Street. The developer, Thomas Ellis, of County Plaza Holdings LLC, has been working with NorState to accommodate the desired location and construction of a 3,000 sq. ft. full-service building with a three-lane drive-thru.
The projected opening date of NorState FCU’s sixth branch office in Presque Isle is August 2009.
“We’re excited about our new expansion; and with the credit union philosophy of people helping people, that has branded credit unions for the past 100 years, we want to integrate and become a viable asset to the residents of Presque Isle and surrounding communities,” said Rossignol.
NorState Federal Credit Union, with financial and insurance services and products, currently has offices in Madawaska, Van Buren, Ashland, Eagle Lake and Fort Kent.
