Wheaton, Forest Eugene Sr., 84, Stockholm, February 11, 2009. Interment will be in the spring at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou. Arrangements are in the care of the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

ImageImage    Forrest Eugene Wheaton Sr. went home to be with his lord and savior Feb. 11, 2009 surrounded by his loving family.
    Born in Stockholm the son of Freeze and Florence Lund-Wheaton Aug. 21, 1924. Forrest served in WWII at Normandy Beach. Came home to Bridgeport, CT moved to Presque Isle where he married Irene Stubbs on Aug 4, 1950. They lived in Caribou where he started his own carpentry business that is still active today. They moved all over the east coast from FL to Portland, ME where they settled on 23 Loraine St. in 1975.
    Forrest is survived by his loving wife Irene and their children, Mrs. Jeanie Wheaton-Dyer, Forrest E. Wheaton II and wife Tina, and David L. Wheaton, many grandchildren, Kay, Tammy, Lisa and husband Jeremy, Chrissy, Nick, and Mrs. Katie Brown, great-grandchildren, Brianna, Isac, Isabelle, Cabreah, Andrew all still in the Portland area. Also, a sister Lela Johnson of Bridgeport, CT., and a sister-in-law Juanita Wheaton of Caribou. There are honestly too many very special nieces and nephews to mention them all by name but Forrest and Irene have been blessed and loved by all.
    Visiting hours were held at the Assembly of God Church in Caribou on Saturday Feb 14, 11:30 – 1:30. Services were at 2 p.m. with his Reverend Kenneth Wilcox of Portland officiating. Interment will be in the spring for immediate family at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou. The Family would like to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayers at this time.
