Within two hours of a phone call to Houlton, a donation of frozen bread was accepted, transported and stored for pickup last Friday. Christopher Brown of Set Free Ministries transported more than 1,500 boxes of frozen organic bread from Sanford all the way to Easton and shared it with various organizations along the way. Brown’s call to a friend in Millinocket referred him to Dale Flewelling of Empowering Life. Flewelling made arrangements with Shop ’n Save’s manager Jody Moulton who agreed to store 180 boxes of the bread, each containing 12 loaves, until Catholic Charities and the Ludlow Food Pantry could pick them up the following day. Above, Brown and Flewelling, right,  unload bread from Brown’s truck in Houlton. Assistant Store Manager David Belyea, below left, and Seafood Manager William Lloyd are seen loading the bread into the freezer until it was picked up the next day.Image
