Sjoberg named to Who’s Who Among Students

    CANTON, Ohio — Colleen Sjoberg of Hodgdon has been named to the prestigious academic distinction — Who’s Who Among Students. Sjoberg, a social work major, is a senior at Malone University in Canton. 
       Her parents are Fred and Marilyn Sjoberg. “I’m extremely proud of her,” said the student’s mother who said she was surprised upon receiving the notification in the mail from Malone before her daughter called.  As for her husband, she said, “he’s quite pleased and he’s pretty proud.”
    Nominees are submitted by faculty members who consider GPA, participation and leadership within the school or extra-curricular activities, community involvement and future leadership ability or potential.
    Who’s Who Among Students honors students from universities and colleges as well as junior colleges. It is not affiliated with any other Who’s Who publication.
    Malone University, a Christian university for the arts, sciences and professions in the liberal arts is affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church and awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees in more that 100 academic programs.
