Alumni hockey game to be held Sunday

    The Presque Isle High School alumni hockey team will take on the coaches of the Presque Isle Youth Hockey league in a fun-filled afternoon of hockey at the Forum on Sunday, Dec. 27 beginning at 1 p.m. 

    Members of the PIYH’s initiation program will play a short game in between periods. Tickets are $5 and available at the door. Proceeds will support youth hockey in the community.
Hockey team wins for first time this season
    The Presque Isle Youth Hockey peewees collected their first win of the season Saturday, Dec. 12 with a 3-0 win at Houlton. Colin McKay scored all three goals for Presque Isle, with Alex Michaud chipping in with an assist. Joseph Patenaude also played an aggressive game for the peewees.
    Also on Saturday, Presque Isle suffered a 10-1 loss to Woodstock in a game played in Presque Isle. Michaud scored the lone Presque Isle goal on a penalty shot.
    On Sunday, Presque Isle faced Woodstock for the second time in as many days and fell 6-1. McKay scored the lone Presque Isle goal, unassisted. Oliver Gerrish played well in net.
Athletes of week named at Presque Isle High School
    The Presque Isle High School Varsity Club and Big Cheese Pizza have announced Connor Shaw and Karlee Bernier have been selected as “Athletes of the Week” for the week of Dec. 7-15.
