LIMESTONE, Maine — Sign Pro of Southington, Connecticut, a nationally recognized expert in advertising solutions, has donated to the Town of Limestone a fully functional digital display sign, replacing their old and outdated sign. The sign and installation, also performed by Sign Pro, amounted to a $51,000 in value donation to the town.
Pete Rappoccio, president of Sign Pro, said “Ed and I have been friends for many years. I cannot express enough how lucky a town like Limestone is to have Ed. Respect between us runs very deep and when he called and described how much he loved Limestone and especially the people there, it wasn’t even a decision that required any thought. Limestone was getting a new sign — on us. Everyone at Sign Pro is proud to have a little part in an exciting era for Limestone.”
Edward Pocock III, Limestone town manager, said, “Pete has always been heavily involved in helping communities. When I called him and asked if he would consider donating a sign to the Town of Limestone, he didn’t even hesitate. He had the design for me just a few weeks later. The display is, quite literally, the same as he has at Sign Pro headquarters. Everything he and his team do is top shelf. Pete’s simply a guy who cares deeply about people and one of the most selfless people I know.”
Select Board Vice Chair Irma Labreck noted that the “sign is absolutely stunning” and thanked Rappoccio for the kind donation.
The sign will be used to announce official notices, local club events and other items of interest to the people of Limestone.
Pocock concluded, “Limestone is ascending in the region and as we do, we plan on lifting all boats in our area. This beautiful new sign is a fitting representation of what we are accomplishing in this great town, which will, ultimately, benefit those around us.”
