The Mars Hill Rotary Club met at the Aroostook Health Center on Tuesday, June 23, at 6:30 a.m.
Rotarian Dr. Eric Nicholas spoke to the group about “Friends Helping Friends,” a newly-formed group of men and women that serve Mars Hill, Blaine and Westfield. The vision of the group is to help provide for the needs of the widowed, the single parent, the disabled, the visitor or any person with a physical, emotional or spiritual need.
If you have a project that you need assistance in completing, the group may be of assistance. The group has volunteers that are willing to help others with various needs, such as cleaning, organizing, checking lights and smoke detectors, doing minor repairs, maintenance and more. They also have volunteers that will teach basic computer skills, work on budgeting or help find contractors.
If you would like more information about services or volunteering, contact Rickard Kennedy at 429-8190, Dr. Nicholas at 429-9133, Perley Kennedy at 768-5839 or William Neal at 429-9066.
